pwSafe 2 - Password Safe App Reviews

This is a great tool to keep a lot of information safe, yet accessible: website & email user names & passwords, bank account numbers, WiFi passwords, lock combinations, passport numbers & related info. Keep the info accessible on your phone, computer, and tablet through a secure cloud service such as Dropbox, iCloud, etc.

Love that it uses an open source standard.

Ive had this app for over 3 years and it is very reliable. It has the ability to sync over multiple devices and I use it on my tablet, phone and computer. I like the fact it uses the fingerprint unlock feature.

I am having some issues with the app and need to talk to someone to get them sorted out..it is impossible to get the help you need.

I have two phones and would really appreciate being able to share the pwfile.

Easy to use and an awesome app to keep track of PWs, user names and other info.

Could not live without this app. Use it often due to my non-memory life long status. All my adult family members use it.

only app i found that works across android, iphone/ipad, mac, PC, AND debian linux with (ok wait for it) NO need to export your data to some cloud service. My passwords are the last thing i want in the cloud regardless of how well encrypted. I can keep all my devices in sync with a home NAS, pendrive, or worst case email on a private server without ever having my private data cross a cloud service or the internet. the app and its companions merge data flawlessly without a controlling copy in the cloud. for those of us that are completely paranoid, this is the place to go.

This app is awful. Your password safe may simply disappear, and when it does it takes all of your passwords go with it.

Its great that pwSafe will open my password safe files, but it isnt syncing with iCloud properly. I can only see the pwSafe sub folder on my iPhones iCloud Drive. I cannot see it at iCloud.com or on my PC. That makes it difficult to use the same safe everywhere. 3 stars because it can read my password safe files, but I bought it purely for iCloud sync with my PC and it doesnt seem to work as advertised.

Have used it for a few years now and love how it is accessible on all my Apple devices. It will generate passwords if you care to use them but I have never done that as I like to use a word that you can speak rather than random letters numbers and symbols. Very easy to set up and edit and customize and keep track of all those hundreds of logins & passwords we need for each site we visit. Never had a problem with feeling secure and erases the clipboard after a few minutes and closes the program if not in use. I highly recommend it! 2 thumbs up!

After years of using his app and saving dozens of passwords, out of no where, it dumped them all. Thought theyd be saved in the cloud but cant seem to recover them. Additionally in order to use the fingerprint verification: step one- use finger print. Step two: enter master password. Step three: enter ANOTHER password. Looking for something better....

Ive got the MacBookPro version as well as the iPhone 5S, 3GS & the iPad2 Outstanding App! The iCloud replicates all data very well to these devices wirelessly, and automatically!! Just wish there was a Wnds 10 Pro - PC version for my perfect combo of PsWord safe! Monthly cost ->$? : so I use the original pwSafe1 which is for free!

This A great program for Password safe

Every time you sneeze theres another account to set up. I now have 100 stored in this app. So dependent I felt compelled to get a refurbished iPod to mirror in case of iPhone loss. Like others, would appreciate a Windows app that sees same data.

I have a huge problem because of pwSafe - had all my passwords stored with pwSafe in icloud, then from one day to the next, the pwSafe file with my passwords disappeared and everything was lost. The entire point of keeping data safe in the cloud - for nothing. None of the solutions in diverse online forums worked. I wrote to pwSafe customer service, and got no reply. I hope that they will see this review and will reach out to me to somehow restore my passwords. Really makes you reconsider keeping anything in the cloud with anyone but the most reliable solution providers.

This is a pretty good implementation of the proven password safe protocol. Would get 5 stars if it had auto lock implemented too. The auto lock just doesnt work. Hasnt ever.

I bought this app years ago when the original was introduced. I have used it literally everyday since. I went from haphazardly using a small notebook to keep up with multiple passwords to relying on PW Safe. Recently, I started getting messages in IOS that the app would fail on the next update...scared me! I Googled a solution and discovered this newest version. I was skeptical that my old safe would not convert, but my fears were immediately calmed. I used Dropbox, and everything was quickly and safely converted. I never knew what I was missing with these upgrades of searches and copying pws without opening the entry. Well worth the $2.99 price!
